Yoga is a mind and body practice with a 5,000-year history in ancient Indian and Sri Lankan philosophy. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation. Below is Yoga technics,

Anusara,

Like Iyengar, this yoga focuses on alignment. But it moves beyond the physical into the spiritual in the quest for openness. If yoga could ever be considered happy clappy, this would be it.

Ashtanga and Vinyasa

Vigorous workouts, these practices are all about movement (the word vinyasa is Sanskrit for flow). If you're a creature of habit, go for ashtanga, which uses the same sequence of postures every time.

Bikram

Some like it hot. If you do, this is the yoga for you. You'll sweat as you move through 26 postures and two breathing exercises in temperatures above 40C in this 90-minute practice developed by Bikram Choudhury.

Hatha

Gentle, with a focus on the basics, this is actually a catchall that incorporates many different styles of yoga. If you're a newbie, it's a very good place to start.

Iyengar

Slow and steady, with lots of props, this yoga discipline helps you find your proper alignment. Expect to hold positions for a long time; Creator B.K.S. Iyengar's own head stands can last up to a half-hour.
